I believe this to be a telephone/banking scam. They purported to be my bank but they said they wanted me to open another account and transfer money from my account into this other account - at that point I stopped the call and called the number on the back of my debit card and reported the call to my bank fraud department.

I said I could not understand what she was saying (also Asian) and she said she would make me understand and then put the phone down.
