SCAM / SPAM This is a scam operation, cold-calling British expats overseas (probably from a database of names and numbers) and trying to sell them insurance, investments or other financial products. They claim to be a financial advisory company called GCM Global Connect Marketing https://globalconnectmarketing.co.uk/ But all the numbers are fake. They call from 020 3885 6XXX, the number on the website is invalid. The site is hosted anonymously with GoDaddy. You can't call any of the numbers back -

Construction skills training company. Cold called, but seem legit.
.Harassing Cold call . Trying to sell roof insulation. Do I buy from harassing cold callers??? Nope! Knew our name and address. Asked him where he got details - said from database but could not say what. Told him should at the minimum his company should be vetting against telephone preference service. Asked him to remove our details from his database to comply with current GDPR rules. Kept him talking for a good 10 minutes to stop him harassing others during that time

Received an unsolicited call from this number which is probably spoofed. A recorded message claimed it was the National Fraud Office and that my National Insurance number had been cancelled due to fraudulent activities. I immediately ended the call at that point and performed a Google search on the number.

I had a silent call (on 15/5/15)& as I was expecting a call from unknown people on this area code, I used 1471 and phoned back. I heard a recorded message "You were called today by Media Match. The cal was not important and we will try again later. Goodbye" A Google search for Media Match shows a US firm with this name, but on websites similar to this one they claim that they do not cold-call and that their name is being mis-used. I have reported the call to Ofcom as a silent call causing annoyanc

Apparently advertising in local hospital magazine. Using mature females rather than our asian colleagues (obvs to make the business they are calling more receptive) same tactics as always. push push push. I've asked for a copy of their magazine by email but still waiting. "when should we call back half an hour"? Received a call from 07520648939, claimed to be from a finance/stock market company- very strong foreign accent. Asked for email address as I didn't have the time to speak, told them to send me an email as they seemed to have my info, but he could only confirm my name, so I hung up. Probably a scam and I have blocked the number now
