SCAMI had a phone call from 0800 4643050 saying they were from Nationwide, using my name, calling me about potential fraudulent activity on an account. They were very good, very believable, and spend about 30min going through possible fraudulent transactions before asking me for any personal information. When they did I said I wanted to ring through independently to ensure it wasn't a scam. They said I could google the number and see it was a genuine number. This Norwich UK Landline phone number 01603983037 phoned me claiming to be Greenpeace. The Asian man went on to say the call was in relation to a petition I signed, and about a money donation I sent them that was Declined, and wanted me to pay him the donation again with a link he had prepared earlier of which I refused. After the call ended I logged in to my bank and found the payment I previously paid to Greenpeace had already cleared. Reported To Police And Action Fraud.
