My 81 year old father was targeted and asked to insure his 4 year old Indesit washing machine. Unwittingly he set up a d.debit which he cancelled the next day, with the bank, when he realised he already had cover. He rang Appliance Serve and told them too, he was asked to put it in writing which he did. I refused to confirm any details or give a reference number (I don t have one - I ve never heard of them till yesterday). I ve been contacted in the past by debt collectors looking for Steven Griffiths (who isn t me) so I assume this is what this is about. The guy wouldn t continue the call so I advised I would be blocking them.
