SCAM pretending to be Lloyds Bank
01202627797 called today. It was automated and said they were from Visa fraud team. They were holding a payment of £800 (and something) pounds which was a suspicious payment on a gambling site in America. I was told to press 1 if this wasn't me and to be connected to the fraud team. Obviously I just hung up, searched the number which didn't come up with anything, I checked my bank accounts and rang the bank's fraud number. As I thought, it was a scam.

I keep an eye on my credit rating and am debt free. I have received unsolicited calls and texts. Called the number in the texts and asked to call this one - which I didnt. I have not given my name or address to anyone. I find this very fishy. They are a debt collection agency, so have the ability to access my address. After seeking advise, I will wait for them to send me some mail, addressed to me that outlines the reason for their communication.

This number called twice. I answered both times but no-one spoke. As the no. didn t correspond to any in my address book, I checked it out with you. Will now block number but concerned as to how they got my number in the first place, and hope they are not able to access my contact details in the phone.

This company wanted details from me to compare energy providers. Told them I would use uSwitch. They said they use same engine and chased for details. I declined and told them I am on TPS list so shouldn t receive cold calls and that without my authorization it is illegal. They said they wouldn t call again, but keep trying to call, but they re added to my blacklist app and reported to app community as a pest. Young lady called asking if I'd been in an accident. Well known telemarketing scam. I put phone down.
SCAM Every day, two or three times per day. Arrogant woman argued with me that I had registered my number to have a call back from her. No way! They are online trading people. I told her several times do not call me again. She was not for giving in. Eventually I told her to F-off.

Called today, 04.02/21, about 1309. A/phone kicked in - no message left.
Safe number Received a call from 03333440000 trying to give me a text message to my landline. I hung up. Then I decided to check them out and it turned out to be a GENUINE COMPANY called AQL who were simply trying to give me a message. I called 03333446527 to retrieve my message which was from a NHS supplier. The message was important to me! Why the NHS supplier chose to send a text to my landline when they have my mobile number is a mystery to me. No worries here.
