Sounds rather similar to reports regarding other numbers in the 012027947xx range. Two calls over the Bank Holiday weekend. Recorded announcement regarding '100% Government grants' and if you answer some questions they'll check your eligability. Didn't stop to listen to what those questions would be.

Anyone know who this number belongs to as when I ring it. It cuts me off.
Received a call from this number. When I answered it it was a recoded message saying that it was from HMRC and that i had been reported for Fraud and press one on the keypad otherwise police will arrest me. At this point i concluded the call as a scam or potential Fraud call.
Claimed to be Smart Energy, ....enough said, blocked.

The caller had a very thick south Asian accent and claimed to be from "my network" - I didn't catch which one - and that I could benefit from an "offer". I cut the call and blocked the number.

Called my elderly grandad just now (isn?t the first time). He couldn?t understand him so passed the phone to me. An Indian man calling from ?Remote Security? and enquiring about a ?computer or laptop in your house? I told him we didn?t have either and he carried on trying to talk, so I repeated that we didn?t have either and to not call again and he hung up. This number called my mobile. I did not answer, but wanted to check the number out first. there was no bad report on the number. when I tried to return the call there was no answer then a "click" in the line and a message that the "other person had hung up". this makes me think it s somebody trying to sell you something nobody wants
This is a NHS reminder call for a hospital appointment 2 weeks ahead of date. They woke me up at 10pm when I had just fallen asleep so are a nuisance call. They call several time before the date of appointment, they are a nuisance.
