SCAM Has phoned twice. Says this is your bank and there are 2 strange transactions on your account. Doesn't name the bank. The transactions are £300 to Amazon and £1000 to overseas banking. Stated if this was not you press one to speak to your bank or press to to speak to an advisor. BANK SCAM

Was bored and made up some data, they they pass you to someone who tries to sell you a policy. They quote the FCA many times - but when pushed confirm they are not regulated by them. SCAM caller - called saying he's from my bank, quoted some card details (correct, must be on a stolen database) to say that Apple Pay / Contactless are down for 24-48 hours while they do upgrades. I didn't give him any info but somehow he managed to set up an Apple Pay with my card and stole £2,600 from our company account, on payday, 4 days before Christmas. We're now completely skint and can't afford to pay the wages. Been doing some investigating and his name is Tyrell, apparently. Fuck you Tyrel

I used him to check if my info actually was leaked and then I rejected the transaction and cancelled my card lol. Pretty funny call, although dangerous to those who aren’t very IT literate. I hope the lad is able to find a job soon so he can stop the scams, assuming he actually wants to stop…

Creepy guy, no name given. Told me he found my number online on a website and that he wanted to have sex with me, that we should meet up and have fun. I don't use dating sites or give out my personal number online, so I am very unsure of where he has got my number from.

Fraud SCAM SPAM This number belongs to an organization funded by drug sales and is used to scam you and possibly execute fraud on your bank account and/or credit cards. If the number is exposed, they just generate a new number and continue scamming people in the US. the actual number is mirrored to a us number to hide it's origin.
This is a genuine number from santander fraud team. I was suspicious of the number so I rang it and explained I felt it was a scam and the advisor told me to ring the number on the back of my card which I did. And the fraud team confirmed that the text message was genuine and was from santander.
Automated message left telling me there was a £300 and £1000 charge on my card. (No mention of which card). This was incorrect and therefore message is most likely a scam.

Probable Fraud/Scam - Heavily Indian accented female called Rachel called me purporting to be working for Microsoft at the Reading Campus. Claimed there was a problem with my computer and "bad people were using it for bad things on the internet". Told me she would deactivate my computer if I didn't do what she said. Got quite rude when I told her I didn't believe her. Stalled her for 5 minutes before she hung up on me.
