Almost certainly SPAM/SCAM as it called at the usual parasites'/pests' evening time, in this case 6.30pm. There was a suspicious pause & silence (auto-dialler?) when I answered and then the call was disconnected. I then rang back the number (03300270201) and got the following recorded message (female voice, American accent): "The number you have dialled is no longer in service. Believe that this number could be associated with Bank Payment scams. I had an automated call from the bank stating that they has identified to suspicions payments against my account and would I confirm 'yes'; or 'no'. When I confirmed that I knew nothing about them I was put through this number which was answered by a man who gave his name as a Paul Butler and stated that he was a member of the Bank Fraud team. A comment he made got me suspicious and I rang off/blocked

Please be extremely careful if you pick up your phone as it’s LOCAL number because I’ve had lots of these calls that I don’t answer & it’s impossible to phone back because you get the number you have Dialled has not been Recognised. It’s definitely a Sophisticated Scamming System.

I lady called me saying she had frozen a transaction from going to a offshore account in China. The currency was bitcoin. This was odd as these transactions go to a bit coin wallet then to a debit card that is registered on your account. She did no DPA to verify that I was the account holder. Then she wanted me to download a app I refused so she asked if I have a pc or laptop. I said pc she wanted to screen share. I would do no such things I told her then hug up.

This call claimed to be re a visa payment. Did I want to stop it......
Prerecorded message alleging to be from a bank - 2 transactions were highlighted as 1. a payment of £300 to Amazon and 2. a payment exceeding £1000 to an overseas destination. Options were offered which were ignored and the call was terminated by the recipient. An effort was made to call the number from both landline and mobile where an answer was given “it has not been possible to connect your call” and “the number you have dialled is incorrect”, respectively. These people should be sent to Siberia.

Fraud Call - I got a called from this number saying they were from O2 and offering me a 40% discount on my bill. They said I would receive a code from them and to read it out to them. I got 2 messages from O2 saying I had requested a security code and not to give the code to anyone and if I suspected fraud to call 202. The lady got really aggressive when I said I wouldn't give her the code as O2 shouldn't need the code. When I said I would check if this was ok she gave me another number to call to verify -
