I called them back, found out it was an unsolicited call from an estate agent, I have recently sold my hose and just made an offer on another; I guess this scum got my number from my dealings with others, have now bloked this number.
They took ages before they spoke, when I said nobody here had been in an accident, a rude, cockney girl shouted at me and then rung up.. I am fuming !!

Fraud American accent, pre-recorded message saying it was HMRC and there was a problem with my tax record. Told me that in order to avoid jail I needed to sort this out immediately and had to press 1 to be put through to an advisor. Potentially very threatening for anyone who didn’t recognise it as a scam. Google search reveals that if I had pressed 1 my call might have been rerouted to a different country and I could have faced hefty phone charges.

I got a 'eBay' code (allegedly) from this number. To those people who are saying this number is genuine, what made them go on to this website? If I get a genuine text, I don't then search that number on the internet and then make a comment on a site that deals with dodgy phone numbers. This number called me this morning insisting they were my bank trying to prevent fraudulent transactions from a cloned card, then asked me to read out the digits on my card!! They didn't know which bank and stated it was an amazon transaction for £300 that was the fraud, this is tosh and I told them so, beware, they are very persistent even when called out.
