I missed a no caller ID call from Dundee city council, the person gave me this number to call back on. I'm immediately greeted by an American automated voice giving me options to which I decide to hold for assistance cuz none of them mean anything to me. I don't type or do anything but an English automated voice comes on says "sorry I didn't get that", this repeats indefinitely.. pretty sus for a number that's meant to be the counsel. Fraud - Claimed to be HMRC ????
Recieved call from man with thick accent. Couldn't understand him and he didn't seem to be able to respond to my repeated questions about why he was calling me or where he had got my number. Came up as a roofing supplier number on my phone, although a web search for the number also lists it as an MOT centre. Might be a genuine business, but definitely an unwlecome call.

Sounded suspect to me from an unknown company wanting to talk about my broadband. Took ages to respond when I answered which usually means they are calling multiple numbers and then nebulous about answering why they were calling. Be wary.

2022.07.18 at 13:37 my phone showed ‘International’, with the number 0049 1375 381293, which looks like it came from Germany (0049), but with a local code that was the same as my own ((0)1375)... anyway a recorded message claimed it was from 'bank security', that two large withdrawals had been made on my account, inc one from Amazon, and that I needed to press a particular number to speak to them. This is obviously a SCAM and an ATTEMPTED FRAUD..

Persistant phone calls from this number every day for the past week. Answered it today thinking it could be someone important, turns out to be company who provide free boiler upgrade ? There is a high availability in your area. Man seemed arrogant abrasive, talking over me. Told him wasn’t interested, avoid at all costs, scam.
