I missed a no caller ID call from Dundee city council, the person gave me this number to call back on. I'm immediately greeted by an American automated voice giving me options to which I decide to hold for assistance cuz none of them mean anything to me. I don't type or do anything but an English automated voice comes on says "sorry I didn't get that", this repeats indefinitely.. pretty sus for a number that's meant to be the counsel. *SCAM* Amazon Prime Renewal! (Spoofed number - Probably someones home number!) Obviously A SCAM - I don't have 'Amazon Prime' account. Recorded message/menu, that sounds totally REAL!! NB: WHY would a GLOBAL company be calling me from same Area Code!? Probably to panic people into giving out personal details (ie Bank info)!!! SCAM This number looks as if it was local to me, but it was not. Strongly accented lady said she was from Virgin Media about the "poor performance of the internet connection". I told her I knew it was a hoax call and hung up.
TAXES / HMRC Past Due Credit Solution, a HMRC debt collector. The call is legit but be prepared to have them not listen to you and keep calling days later about the same things.
Although local to me, this is a scam. Told me two amounts were being taken from account and to press a key if I wanted to proceed.

The text message received from this number on 14/02/2024 at 12:13 simply read: "Got it (thumbs up emoji)" No other content and this number is not in my phone book nor was I expecting any messages like this from anyone. It feels like a text that is trying to elicit a response and leading to a scam/spam.
Keep getting hassled by these fake phone contract impersonators. You block them, they contact you on another number. Normal rigmarole, offer to cut your bill, then ask you for code sent via text. They have spoofed your details and with the code cam access your account. I gave them the wrong code about 5/6 times before they gave up. I try to waste their time for as long as possible, only pleasure from these calls.SCAM
