User tells you they have dropped their mobile phone in the washing machine. They tell you they have a new number to use. They then tell you they have a little problem of paying a bill of £2900, because they don't have their normal phone they can't pay. They want you to pay by internet or banking app and they will pay you back on Friday.

Scam caller pretending to be from VirginMedia support and that your "router has a virus". Others have tweeted that he then tries to get you to download and install software on your PC. VirginMedia deny that the number is linked to their Tech Support and advise that it's a scam.

What is wrong with these people? Calling several times a day every day. Blocked them and phone doesn t ring but their number still keeps coming up Surely there must be someone to report this to and something that can be done to stop it.
