Comes up as suspected spam. Guy with an Indian accent said he was calling from a South African call centre on a Manchester landline! Claims he works for a company called UK Tariff that finds out if you're paying too much for your broadband or finds better deals. Thing is this so called company harasses with calls like 24/7 from different numbers most of the day. Hoping you're gullible enough to get to the part where you hand over your bank details. Best way is to report and block if it flags as spam.

Had a call from this number at 13.30 on 23/02/22. Upon answering i waited for the person to speak first, it was an asian sounding person in a call centre. As soon as they asked how i was today i asked straight out if they were a scammer to which they responded yes they were a scammer and a fraudster followed by oh my god repeated several times. I stated the call should now end and looked online to find number belongs to a sushi bar in London so this number was spoofed/cloned and not the genuine number.

SCAM Said they were O2. Very convincing. Sent an OTP, like a fool, I gave it to them. By the time their call ended, and I got through to O2 (max 10 minutes), they’d already changed my email and postal addresses. O2 tell me the only time they will ask for the OTP is when a customer calls them. Looks like I stopped them in time, all details now changed, and security info changed, but be careful people. Spam. Was an automated message with threat that my internet is going to be disconnected. I have a BT line, so I put the phone down on it and then picked it up and waited for dial tone and then dialled 1572, which allowed me to block the last calling number. Not sure if that blocking facility works on other providers landlines. But worth a try. It's a neat facility.

It's a Safe number and they are offering tax consultancy services.
This is a scam number for "Electric Yorkshire". avoid at all costs, they overcharge and try to add extra hidden charges. Calling to cancel, they will refuse to and try to scam you out of giving them more money. Luckily I was wise enough to not give them a penny. Report and block their numbers, they don't turn up either.

I've got the call. When I picked up, some guy was laughing. Later a guy mentioned he was from my O2 provider company. I am not currently under contract with the O2. Then he laughed and hung up. I wasn't sure if this call was from a house with joking kids or if this was a real company. If that is a company, they have to have more attention to training their people to behave.
