Asian man claiming to be calling on behalf of Microsoft....usual "your computer security has been compromised". Knew my name and address. Let him go on for a while and then I got fed up/annoyed and just told him he was lying and stopped the call.

Yeah, these idiots keep calling me too. My advice is to play along and waste their time. I spent hours providing them false contact and banking details. They got really angry when they kept asking me to confirm the account number. It feels so good wasting their time when then had full intentions of wasting myne / whilst trying to rob me blind . Fraud - Fake "debt collecter" type call. Asking to speak to financial department about an overdue debt that is owed (completely false allegation) but had no names or contact details. When asked if anything had been sent in writing the chap with a "Georide" accent said it could only be dealt with by phone so number blocked and reported.

Then a text asking to send £1500.00 because they needed the money and because number was changed it would take 24 hrs for verification . Promised to pay the money back tomorrow. I was being informed that my Amazon Prime was out of date (which it was not). They stated I would need to pay £93, and whether I would like to speak with an operator.
Contacted from this number by automated contact stating it was ‘bank security’ advising I had money taken from my account and asking me to press a number to speak to someone. Did not feel it was genuine at all.

It's a spam number sending the text message on your phone about your delivery has been redirected to your local branch due to an unpaid shipping fee.
