I had a text from this number "Hi Alice, it's Carrie, there's a reception tomorrow. do you have time to go with me?" I thought initially this was a wrong telephone number put in. but seeing as it has been flagged up a number of times. I think it's a phishing call. I've not answered it, as this would have shown my number was active

Called asking if I had Iphone and if I had internet connection. Repeated the question and hung up when I kept asking what was this for.
After endless repeated attempts from scammers trying to phish me. I dont answer strange numbers, especially ones that dont leave a message. This caller is not my doctor/ friend/work/family, so I simply have blocked them. unfortunately they pop up every day in the optimiser part of my phone despite me blocking their number.

Recorded message "bank alert" from bank "technical department" Usual same male voice used regularly for these scams from various numbers. Total pain and regarded as harrassment,. Thery obviously think folk are stupid enough to respond by pressing button 2 - which only atkes you to a premium rate line from which the scammers make money. Five star bad.

I've worked in customer service multiple times, one thing I've been told which is common sense is not to spam our customers with calls, maximum I'd call is 2 times for a single customer then stop. Whoever's number this is has been calling everyday for the past few weeks which is 100% a scam. They claim to be e-on which is fake because their number isn't on e-ons website + they wouldn't be calling everyday. This number, an automated woman's voice, called my landline today and purported to be the bank saying that they're checking a £600 payment from my bank account to somewhere abroad. As my bank say they'd never phone me for details such as this caller was asking I suspected a scam and put the phone down straightaway. SCAM
SCAM Certainly not from within the UK and claiming to be from Citizen's advice bureau. Keep them on the phone and have some fun with them if you have the time. It's better then hanging up or getting upset.
