FRAUD - Indian call centre wanted to get hold of a BT PIN number they had fraudulently triggered so they could take over my BTInternet account. Reported to BT.
Called with a female robot voice. Said it was HMRC. I hung up immediately as I?m pretty sure they either would have sent a letter or had a real person on the phone!

These people obtain, STEAL, your tel. number from your ip address via metadata. Ever come accross annoying adverts when browsing online which doesn t let you close? ie. Engadget, youtube etc... This is the second time I've received these unsolicited calls- the first time was from a different number but it's the same scam. The recorded voice message says that it is a call from HMRC regarding tax fraud. You are requested to press 1 to speak to an officer who then calls you back from a listed HMRC number. They inform you that you owe tax & when you ask for details or question why you've not received any written information they become argumentative & threatening.
