I received this and replied with Claim to see if I could get someone to call me whereby i would find the company name in order to report them. Someone called me the next day and when I told them I hadn t had an accident but wanted to know who they were, they hung up.

Caller said that he was from BT. did not know who to speak to. Held the line open for several minutes when we tried to cut off call. Very persistant. I answered by stating that we were on TPS and they should not be calling us. I tried to disconnect call as I wanted to check what number he was calling from. He was still holding line open. Seeing other comments, presumably aggressive advertising. Very dangerous for susceptible people.

Call center: Indian sounding lady called me and asked for me by name. I asked why she was calling & she said again "Are you Mrs ****?" . I asked who wanted to know. She didn't say. Told her to hurry up as I was about to go out and she hung up. Other people have said this number is someone claiming to be from Domestic & General about an expired washing machine warranty.

She had a very strong accent and couldn't actually work out that I was female - kept calling me 'he' - despite my profile being clear so I was very wary of sharing any further info. She never once mentioned the name of the website that we were using on it either. Could be real but they need to be clearer on who they're talking to before I would share anything.
