A well spoken woman with a message re court action by HMRC which could frighten the life out of some elderly people. I only received a message not any opportunity to speak to anyone just asked to ring them back and unless I did I would risk serious action from the courts. I have now blocked that number on BT 1572.
Automated American Voice message claiming illegal activity on my HMRC and that I should urgently call back. BIG SCAM - avoid.

Sent a text message first, saying they were from BT and would give me a call. The caller had a strong indian accent, and informed that my internet had been compromised, possibly by overseas third parties. asked me to go through various tests ie logging onto my tesco account, and checking my bank statements. When i refused to do so, the caller got a little shirty, asking what was the basis for this? Then threatened to disconnect my line. when I told her she couldn't do that, as my bills were paid regularly
