I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. Re The failed bank payment, the bank itself stopped this money and when I spoke to my bank it was decided that the £149 seemed high for an anti viral program and there was a possibility of fraud. Jack, you seem to be the only person working for BT Business as you are the only person making these sales calls, for such a large business!!. I don't believe this is BT as you can see in other searches Jack seems to be the only person making these calls, probably to gain information about your business. He didn't get any from me. Possibly dangerous.

Got a call from 07477139663 claiming to be HMRC and stated that a letter from them was not delivered and I will be persecuted unless I press 1 to speak to an agent... I am not convinced this is how HMRC operates so I hung up. Second time this has happened within the last week

This number is a brand new HMRC scam. Be careful. Managed to hold up their phone lines for a few hours today, but they will 100% be making more calls over the coming days and months. Don't be fooled by them.
'Michael' claimed to be from Microsoft and wanted to know if I was the main user of my computer. Although a Leeds number it sounded very long distance as if was coming from India. I hung up.

64057 is the number to text to STOP reciving messages from We Buy Any Car.com On my network, O2 this is rated as a premium rate number/service so I was charged 13p to opt out. I dont know if other mobile providers recognise this number as a premium rate number or not. WBAC stated that they operate this as a free service and the cost charged is from O2 in my instance. I know its not a biggie - but strange to be charged.

This number called today at 07.36 and claimed to be from Microsoft. The person with an Asian accent told me my computer has been compromised and said have you herd of hackers. I asked for an email to confirm it was Microsoft but he reassured me it was and trust him he has details of my computer security number, we went round incircles a bit, then I put the phone down. 10secons later he called back asking why I put the phone down as I new he was genuine but called me from a different number02088884827.
