these guys don t give up, a number of different people ring and ask for a person by name, insinuating that they have numerous debts, but when you challenge them they hang up. they can be very rude and aggressive, on last occasion threatened bailiff action.
SCAM I recieved a telephone call from what sounded like a call center, but the number was local (01942 491331) the man who spoke was asian sounding claiming to be from the' tax office', said I owed 6 months taxes. I challenged him and asked what ref number he had, he couldn't tell me so I asked for a name and number to call back but he just insisted I pay now or I would be arrested!, so I asked how much? he still couldn't tell me or even my name, just repeated my phone number. I then called him a scammer
I now have a list of around 80 numbers that I allocate to a contact called SPAM CALLS which is a blocked contact, so I gradually get less and less interruptions. It doesn't...

Claiming that power is to be cut in our area and they will protect us but need some info. Apparently we ve also overpaid and they want to refund us. I hung up and called EDF who said it s not them and is a scam.

SCAM
I ve had my phone landlines for about a year now. There very few people who know it for instance ebay/paypal/bank/phone operator or credit card company and iv received numerous calls from this number. I don t card if there trustworthy reputable telephone marketers the BOTTOM LINE is I don t want there harassing call daily it s a real pain and no matter what I try to do the won t in subscribe me from their list. It a joke.
Received repeated calls but number unknown to me so I didn t answer. (Very few people have my number and it s also logged on the phone preference site, so any number I don t recognise has no reason to call me and won t know me).
