Got a call from this number from someone called Richard. with an south Asia accent. He confirmed my name, said it was not a marketing call. At that point the line went dead so he was right!!

Highly probable that this is a scam call – Caller claimed to be from BT regarding an internet connection problem, he had an Indian accent and wanted me to access computer. I ended the call at this stage.
