I have blocked their number so it doesn t ring but I still get a message to tell me that they called. I have had 10 calls from this company in the past 3 days.
SCAM Received a text alert claiming to be from HALIFAX “A new payee has been linked in your app. If this WAS you, ignore this message, if NOT, cancel at Halifax: cancel-payelink.com. Firstly I don’t have an account with Halifax. Secondly, there is a payerlink but no payelink i.e. with the missing “r”.
07477 707231 didn't answer it as it's on a phone number that I don't use for anything or give out. Tried calling it back and it just says number not recognised, so clearly some sort of scam. I suspect it's the HMRC scam that's going around.

Fraud 07843892291 pretending to be Amazon. Then they will tall you through getting remote access to you pc so they can gain access to your Amazon account and your bank details.. Hang up.. And block them!
