They said they were calling from HMRC adout a returned tax letter and that I was going to be prosecuted.
Call to my mobile number telling me I had had an accident in my car. I do not own a car - another scam. Only answered as looked like a local number

SCAM Someone claiming to be a representative from Amazon querying a (non-existent) order for an i-Phone.
Called this back and auto voice stated it was either disconnected or no longer in use?!?!

This was definitely a call from a scammer. These use spoofed numbers, originate outside the UK and are untraceable. NEVER GIVE ANY INFORMATION to these callers or confirm you...

The caller reports to be from Microsoft and suggest your PC is vulnerable requiring an update. The call is protracted and the caller goes into lots of detail leaving you with the feeling that you have a problem. The caller indicates they can help with the update if they can take control of your laptop .... I stopped at that point.
