Garbled message recieved in English then Chinese - no idea what was said. Music on in background too. I made out that you could press 9 to challenge something although no idea what. Then it just cuts out!

A man called Angus introduced himself. I could barely make out what he was saying over what sounded like a busy call centre room. It sounded a bit like Pay Day Loan solutions. I heard the words "pay Day" distinctly.

I am so angry at these people. I am away on business and my phone is constantly ringing in meetings. I am out of the country and I think its urgent. Someone somewhere has to stop these people being like a bad smell that just does not go away. I have had 2 a day for the past week. They all should be stopped and closed down immediately. SCAM Wankers who pretend to be from HMRC, telling you to press 1 to be connected and threatening that you will be arrested if you don't. The probability is that this is being initiated by morons with an overall IQ of zero. The grandkids have more imagination then these smack heads who are so stupid as to believe that anyone can be taken in by their SCAM. IT IS A TOTAL SCAM, HANG UP AND BLOCK THE NUMBER.

I misses this call as my phone was off but a quick Internet search told me this was an Indian scam call centre pretending to be in London, with an outside London area code. This number can be purchased for roughly ?3. Do not answer it is a scam.

I have sorted my problem with Aknica by reporting them to the TV LICENCE people on 0300 790 6137, they put me directly through to them and they could not find me on their system? It seems they had got the wrong name my surname wrong christian name so took me off their system! 5 minutes later I got a call from the same number a local number and they where asking about a road traffic accident? Somehow they are putting a local dialling code onto your phone so you pick up ????

This No has now rung me 3 times in the last 2 days. I NEVER pick up my phone until I know who is on the other end. I will continue to say this. Buy an Answerphone. Cold callers NEVER leave a message. Message just says: "the other person has cleared". Frustrating for them. Peace of mind for you!

Keeps calling my landline every day at 11.00 am. when the message system switches on he hangs up without leaving a message. Its very annoying
