i just received a phone call from 01616572740 with an automated voice telling me I was being investigated for tax fraud and if I didn't press "1" straight away I would be arrested.
Who?! Keeps callung with sane code and format.
Called our TPS registered line. Burst of noise/music after we picked up, followed by silence then " Ello! Ow are yew?" from a caller who then immediately asked to speak to "The owner". Identified himself as "Zane" from "XLM" when asked, and then immediately launched into a scripted sales pitch. Told him to f***-off, and hung up while he was still yapping.

The caller location came up as Brecon, Wales. I didn't answer it. judging by previous comments I was right not to.
Repeated calls. Either put phone down on me without saying anything or on one occasion laughing then putting phone down. Rang number and it was not recognised.
These people are from a company called Ultimate Contact Solutions. The only reason they are calling you is to get you to call back (money making) and to confirm a contact number is active so they can sell it on. If you are unlucky enough to answer and stupid enough to ring back they then pump you for your details, and if able to other family members details so they can sell your details at a higher price and get an extra sale from your family s details. Each time I make a purchase from Amazon, an automated call comes from this number, advising me that my Amazon Prime has been renewed for another year at a cost of £79.99, and asking me to press 1 to cancel or 2 to confirm. I do not subscribe to Amazon Prime and have checked my Amazon account to confirm this. The number has called on 3 occasions on 1 day.
