Called with a robotic pre recorded message claiming to be HRMC saying I needed to press 1 to pay debt, and if I didn't press 1 the named person would be charged (yet never used any names or any form of ID in the message.) This number is a UK mobile number and not associated with HMRC. I told them they hadn't hidden their number and I'd report them, they hung up.

Found a number of texts on my Talk talk mobile bill apparently sent to this number and each charged 50p. Whilst Talk talk say they have cancelled the charges they will not explain how they came to be there. Who is doing this scam and how?
