PPI wanting to refund me for a ?5000 loan I took out in 2004. Concerning thing, they knew my actual name. I certainly didn t take out a loan with anyone. Time wasting PPI company from India by the sounds of it. 2nd call today.
Fake Amazon account warning
SCAM / SPAM Someone calling saying I’ve had £600 taken from my credit card when I don’t even have one. Obvious con!
Received many calls over last couple of weeks just hangs up when I answer
The call purpoting to be from HM Revenue dept was suspicious. The correct name Her Majesty s Revenue and Customs, commonly abbreviated as HMRC never initiate communication by telephone, only by letter. Call not returned.
SCAM / SPAM - recorded message from "amazon" saying your prime will be autorenewed. Don't press anything.
Called me to say they were calling from a firm on behalf of my car insurance company. Think they called themselves ARDF Group or something like that. Said they were aware if was recently in a minor accident with my insured car and wanted to get some details. I have never been in an accident and told the women she was clearly trying a scam on. She immediately hung up.
