I live in Manchester. Just had a call from these people trying to guide me to allow them remote access to my computer to "fix problems". I knew it was a scam to rip personal info from my computer. Just wanted to share that they are now contacting phone numbers in the Manchester area - be warned
Caller claimed to be fron accident investigation unit and wanted to know about an accident to someone on my phone number. When asked where he got the information he said the road safety authority. This is an authority in Ireland dealing with Irish roads. I an in England!!

Fraud Saying new number for one of my contacts due to phone going in washing machine. Happened to other local person.as well last week.

called saying someone in my house hold had an accident, when I said NO, they said well someone reported it, I said do not ring again and put the phone down
Asian sounding female, claimed to be from Citizens Advice and that I had outstanding debt. Hung up when questioned.
