Cold callers 'not trying to sell me anything' but your address came up in a free blah blah blah. Asked for our number (which is supposedly on TPS) to be removed. Hang ...
Caller had an overseas accent and said he was from BT Openreach calling about our internet. When the phone was passed to me from my wife the caller hung up. Could be a scam?
This could be balliffs be careful.

I advised the caller I was not interested and he continued to question me if I knew who they were/are, I said yes, he then proceeded to say ok, what is it we do then. Got annoyed, hung up

Scam. Someone pretending to be HMRC with automated message threatening issue of an arrest warrant for tax evasion unless you call back immediately to pay the outstanding amount. Complete nonsense, HMRC first issue a series of letters then turn up at your house as the final stage, they would never do this kind of thing by phone. Block the number.
Positive number
Called with an automated telephone message to tell me this was Her Majesty's Customs and Revenue and that there was fraud on my account. Dial a number to be put through. This is a work mobile which is only used for calling work.....there is no fraud on the account.....therefore I would say this is dangerous
SCAM: Female automated voice, telling me she was calling from BT, and that they had been trying to contact me. Apparently they are going to cut off my BT line and internet because of 'suspicious activity'! They'll have fun doing that, as I don't have either from BT. Scammers.
