SCAM Phone call from someone claiming to work for Carphone Warehouse offering new promotion where they can undercut my current phone deal with the same minutes, texts and data. When he asked how he knew what deal I was on and did he know who he was talking to he said no. I then advised him that he was in breach of GDPR/PECR rules by making an unsolicited marketing call to a number and person that he didn't know and did not have permission to contact (I work in compliance). I was called 5 times in 6 days. I tried to ring back to have my number removed from their database, an automated reply said it was sky, to stay on the line, but nothing more happened. A waste of my credit, and my time. These are nuisance calls at best!

I received a call from this number today, it s seemed to be a poor connection or he made out he couldn t hear me. I man with a very strong accent (not English) yet goes by the name of peter asked for me by name when I said yes. He said I m calling from the bank and hung up. I expected they ( whoever they are) wanted me to call the bank at some unknown exaggerated cost to myself.

Caller rings on average once a week, I will not answer it, if its important they ll leave a message on answerphone. I ve tried calling the number back but all I get is a recorded message saying this service is no longer available , very odd.
