Purporting to be from the police saying that my national insurance number has been used in fraudulent activities and I am to press a number to speak to a police officer. I’ve had 2 calls in the last week saying exactly the same. I obviously do not press any number and hang up.

omg yeah i know what you mean sharon they tried calling me again today well shud i say they called me several times again when i told them where to go and that i have infact got there address they put the phone down on me yes i have reported it to the police here and in liverpool where there operating from sharon you need to do that also i cannot understand how they are getting away with this but they will get there comeupence sharon what comes around goes around and also where are they getting our numbers
My severely disabled aunt (age 95) has received her BT phone bills showing 45 calls to 01484 511257 since the beginning of May. BT claim that these calls must have been made from her phone but I am sure that this is not correct. She was even in hospital for part of this period and noone was in the flat. BT Engineer tells me that there is no fault on the line and the number may be a Kirklees MC number. Can anyone help me to unravel this mystery. These calls are still being made.

Called several times re:Scottish Power and comparing my tariff -advised several times im not interested however very persistent and will not take no for an answer. Asked more than once to remove my number from their records. Latest caller referred to me several times as "darling" to which I said I preferred he didnt , hung up and blocked the number -totally sick of it !
