Just received an automated call from this number purporting to be from Talktalk and threatening to terminate my internet connection tomorrow. Unsettling at first, but clearly a scam.

HMRC Scam - I have called hem back saying I am Detective Inspector Tennyson, they dont seem to like it much and hang up on you. I have also called back, and blown a whitsle down the line to them they dont seem to like that either

Had accident repair done on a vehicle over 12months ago and for last 2 months constantly calling to say my mot due I told them I sold it, and it had a full mot on it. grr they still keep leaving messages I just delete now.
I received a call from this number and I knew there was something odd about it as when I said I do not have a mobile or lap top the phone went dead and I rang the number back guess what no answer the number was traced to manchester area

This is a company used by other organisations to collect Magazine Subscriptions as well as other type of subscriptions that people "fall into" by aggressive selling,on the phone after you agree to take a "free" copy of "National Geographic magazine". This phone call could have taken place as long ago as 6 months and and what they do is ask you for a pound or some small amount that requires you to give them your Bank account details then, hey presto, suddenly money is taken from your bank by way of "subsc
