SCAM - Called aa business number stating we had made an order on Amazon for £79.99 and did we want to go ahead with it. Asked where they were calling from and they said Amazon head office. Asked for the name on the amazon account and they hung up!

Scam claiming I was under investigation by HMRC for tax fraud and to press 1 to speak to someone about it.
People claiming to be Carphone Warehouse, be vigilant if you answer.
It's in my area code but when trying to ring it back it went to this msg,your call is important to us,and second time it didn't recognise the number,most Barry numbers...
Who's has been called by this number ?
There should be a category marked "Suspected Fraudulent" or "Apparent Scam"! Indian-sounding gent implied threat of fine of ?2000 for "minor accident in the past 3 years".

I did not answer. They did not leave a message. Already received 3 calls from the same number but ending in 513.
SCAM: suggested the bailiffs were going to call and i was about to be arrested if i don't "Press 1 to speak with an opertator".

asked them to leave a message but they put phone down on me.
it is carphone warehouse. they had all my existing contract and bank details and were calling to offer me a new phone and contract. Given they were already in possession of all my data and i was in the market for a new phone and contract, i signed up. i do admit they d called quite a few times though. a bit pushy. still, in the end i got a good deal.
