Answered the phone to a quiet line then the call clicked in to the call centre could hear the back ground noise I said hello again and the gentleman on the line just hung up! Obvs a nuisance cold call

SCAM. Someone looking for dirt on someone. Offered cash for negative information so am guessing he is criminal, or a journalist if that is any different. Faked an American access and more likely to be Welsh probably.
People did someone answer this London number? I had few missed calls from this one, probably some call centre robocaller testing my number? I don't answer unknown numbers and they left no message. I was trying to dig some info on the internet, don't want to call them back until I know who might be calling but no luck. Some idea who is it?
