SCAM / SPAM Ignored the call, they left a voicemail. It was an automated voice, saying they were an officer from inland revenue. Wanted me to call back due to time sensitive reason and if I do not then to be prepared to face the legal action. No reason to believe any of it.
Call pretending to be HMRC threatening legal action unless one speaks to an agent by pressing the number one. I did not do that as I suspect that would then be charged at an exorbitant rate.
It's not coming from a Scottish hotel. Not unless they have got into the spoof phone call business. It's someone proporting to renew an Amazon prime account. We don't have one but be very warey if you do. They also leave a message so don't be fooled by that.

Recording said from Amazon and reported suspicious activity on my account. Said they had put purchase on hold. In fact this is a genuine number from a Joinery business in Thanet. Blocked.
Caller ID on my bt landline said it was an international number... 011442921680283. I suspect this number is also used by the company thats making the nuisance calls.
