I received an automated call claiming to be from HMRC fraud and wanted me to go through a set of number keying. Obviously a scam when I checked the number in Google it came back to a bakers in Glasgow. it seems the callers are spoofing telephone numbers to use in the scam.

Quite annoying. 12 am phone call. Woke up, answer, says hello back to me, clearly I m talking to Siri or something, I told it to eff off, and put phone down. Blocked. Sorted.
Call ostensibly from Visa Fraud - a prerecorded American voice advising of a suspicious / fraudulent transaction. Deal with at your peril - almost certainly a con merchant

TPS will never call you. ANY call about blocking unwanted calls will ALWAYS be a scam. NEVER give ANY information to an unknown caller, no matter how convincing they sound.

Scammer claiming to be HMRC saying I owe money and if I didnt pay the police would be calling around. Why are these scammers able to get away with threatening older people.
Accident claims ambulance chaser - motor accident - have had no accident. They knew my name and their database tied it to my mobile number.
