They rang my office phone directly. We have a standard for answering the phone which goes "Hello, Company Name, My Name speaking, how may I help you?". Having answered like this, I was asked if the caller could speak to someone with a completely different name. My response was "sorry there is nobody with that name here, who are you calling on behalf of?". The chap said he was from BT and wanted to talk to the account holder regarding broadband and calls.
