SCAM - left a voicemail and say they are from HMRC and need to call back urgently. When I call my normal contact at HMRC (sadly I have one) said it wasn't them.

Received a text from Barclays saying there has been a fraud on the accounts and to call this number, when I rang they asked for details, I requested them to put in writing to me which I would then take to local branch, at which point the guy started swearing. What an Idiot!

Guy with Asian sounding accent phone today saying he was from BT and that my internet would be down for a couple of days due to the fact that someone was using my internet connection illegally. When I asked him to prove he was from BT by giving me my home address, he said he would not be able to give any personal details over the phone. I suspected it was a scam and asked for a number I could call him back on. He gave me the number 0800 800 152 but when I dialled 1471, the number came up as 0208 777 5555. S

Clever scammers. They pretend to be a well known banking and investment company. Beware.

Having to stop what I am doing to answer calls is annoying and having someone invade my home who won t be told no is infuriating. Would I stand on the doorstep and listen? No. I am registered with TPS so now I have their number I can complain - hopefully they will be fined for calling a registered no-calls number.
