Message left on my answerphone - Three different voices in succession - first an English woman saying that, in suspicious activity, £599 had been debited from my account, then, as if I had pressed something to respond, a male American thanking me for my response, then a male Asian from customer service telling me to press 1, with no explanation, or 2 to report the matter.

Found this on BBC News today regarding this type of scam "A cold caller has conned a woman in a south of Scotland village out of nearly £29,000. The incident happened in xxxx, near xxxxxx, on Saturday morning. The man phoned the 59-year-old and claimed to be from BT Openreach and said that he was investigating "suspicious activity" on her computer. He then took her through a series of instructions which allowed him to gain online access to her bank account and remove the money."
