Another 'hi mum it's me' scam!
Claimed to be from BT, asked if someone 'was online before midnight or from midnight to 3am. Then said the IP address was being used by malicious software and offered 'next steps' to follow. I hung up. Scam.

I received a call from 01792721946 this afternoon from a guy asking how much I paid monthly for my insurance policy but kept dodging the question of which company he worked for. He seemed to know my full name and address but I would imagine they found this online to give them the illusion that it's a real and legit company. This is a genuine number from santander fraud team. I was suspicious of the number so I rang it and explained I felt it was a scam and the advisor told me to ring the number on the back of my card which I did. And the fraud team confirmed that the text message was genuine and was from santander.
