This number is not secure, it is scammers pretending to be from O2, offering a 50% discount off your monthly bill. Tempting, obviously. They say a text will be sent to confirm this, followed by another text with a code to activate the offer. They will then ask you to repeat the code to them BUT doing this will allow them to take control over your account and possibly other info on your phone. Something didn't feel right so when they rang back for the code I didn't answer but googled O2 scams. Beware.

I pressed 1, and told the guy I was confused to the message and he hung up. The phone code is my local town but the guy was Indian. DONT GIVE OUT YOUR CARD NUMBER TO ANYONE OVER THE PHONE GUYS!!!!

My son with special needs got a barrage of calls from this number spoofing police calls that he got involved in a car accident on the M5, another call saying that they are bailiffs saying that they owe them £1,600.
