Supposedly a company called Direct Legal, claimed to want to talk to me about compensation for an accident. A quick google search reveals they are a debt collection agency based in Buckley, even though the phone number has a Glasgow area code.

Unknown caller rang twice but didn t leave a message

Telemarketer, don t answer. Got a load of noise and static.

I understand this is PC world Wednesbury,

Did not answer, didn t recognise number.

Tried answering and caller dropped. Called back and got an automated message saying call is not important

I answered and they dropped the call with no answer after 3 seconds.

I believe this to be a nuisance call, My advise to others is If you have a answer machine leave a outgoing message to incoming callers saying that if this is a telemarketer or any unknown caller ringing, that this call is classed as harassment and an invasion of your privacy and that you will ignore their call". I monitor all my calls and if I don t recognize the number I just let the answer machine takeover, they never leave a message and since I have been doing this my unwanted calls have started to cease

Keeps calling and hangs up after one ring

Appears to be a spam call from HMRC.

They are based on wharf industrial estate in bury, Manchester and Blackburn. The staff who call have no idea, nor choice of who they ring as the system selects a number at random from their data, and only when the line opens do they see your name and address etc. They are legitimate in terms of what they are offering (a free hearing frequency test at your local football club/hotel) however, if you will receive any money should a claim be successful is questionable. think he said the company name was bold insurance and asks if you are happy with your current supplier. cut him short and said I do not wish to discuss my personal arrangements to a cold caller.Now blocked this number.
