comments on another reverse lookup service suggest the number is being used by 118 to canvas businesses for entry in their directory.

Constantly calling every two to three days. I know it's a Manchester number in England getting fed up with the constant calling.

I always check numbers online to see if I can find who called as don t answer numbers that I don t know.

The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. The usual PPI story. Have had countless calls over recent months. Even pressing 5 for next stage elicits a recorded message. Eventually line went dead.

Solex Legal company that manage santander mortgage applications. On hold for about 20 minutes and cost me £13 for the privilege

tried selling me "extra good sim card", claiming to be from VM, didnt go through the tpical VM log in [you now enter various digits of passcode with keypad, NOT by voice], poor english, noisy line, they have phoned three times in the last two days from the same numer, I have now blocked their call.

2 nd Cold call in two days told them politely "To go forth and multiply"

Junk calls started again on 2Jan18, this being one of them - had again today, the 3rd and didn t answer again; tried calling it from my work phone and get a recorded "The number have dialled has not been recognised."

Received a call from Judy Smith at Sigma Advice Company asking whether I had a car accident. Apparently she got my details from their Road Traffic Accident Dept. Number now blocked

Male Asian voice claimed to be from Talk Talk phoning customers about the internet connection being currently unsafe!! I put the phone down after saying that I was not interested.

Cold caller ... Just told them straight away I wasn't who they was calling for (lol) told them to take my name off database not had a call since. Works every time.
