Phoned me yesterday, i answered as this is a local number to me. Line was quiet initially, and then a male voice stated where he was calling from (though he said it so fast, no one would have a chance in understanding where he was calling from). He then went on to say "you recent life insurance claim has been refused". Hi, I got a text from this number (+44 311 46) which had my name on it and it’s from someone who I don’t know and the number I don’t recognise. May be dangerous but more times than not I don’t answer numbers I don’t recognise.

I said hello and no one spoke, all I could hear was someone tapping away at a keyboard. I said hello again and they hung up / arseholes!
Another call saying I’ve requested info re online trading. I HAVENT! Have asked over 19 times to be removed from database. Even told them they have breached GDPR and face a fine. They just hang up then I get another call from a different number the next day so can’t even block them. Aggressive tone when I tell them I don’t have an interest. They tell me “yes you do because you asked us to call”

SCAM I was phoned by this number today. It was a crackly line and the woman said she it was a bank call telling me that there were 2 suspicious payments from my bank account today. One for £300 and one for £3000. There were nos to press to agree to the payments or a number to speak to someone. I ended the call and then redialled the number registered, but it said that it was an incorrect number.
