I received a call this afternoon from David from London Police Station informing me that fraudulent transcations are taking place in my account (approx. ?3100) and it would be best for me to relocate my funds into safe keepings. SCAM - recorded message saying my internet will be stopped in a matter of hours due to a faulty router. So amateurish it doesn't even try and guess at your provider and have any decent information. Clear, unprofessional scam of the highest order. Must be teenagers, and rather thick ones at that.

Get a very casual message using whatever name you are using on gumtree telling you youre paypal account has been hacked and to log in to change your pass.Like any sort of financial service would be running their security through a mobile.What made it more amusing for me is if they bothered seeing the third line of the ads they got my number from theyd see in large letters NO PAYPAL
As above comments, got a call out of blue caliming to be from Windows saying problems needed to be fixed on my computer, gave me a serial number that coincided with what is on my computer etc, then it turns out they want money for fixing problem and they wanted remote access to my computer, no no no!I kept them on for half an hour and he gave me this number to ring back
