Just had this number call (Liverpool code, with non-geographical sub-code 808) - but I never pick up the phone. Worst thing you can do, as it confirms to the other end yours is a proper phone number which will now be sold on to every piece of scum in the known universe. This explains the silent treatment from any real person (low-lifeform) at the other end. Let the phone ring until the other end gets fed up and ends the call, then dial 1471 and note down the number. Google it to see what scum has tried
I missed a call on my mobile from this number..I recalled from my landline (my number is withheld)and got an auto response saying I was called today by Digital Saving Shop and to press 2 if I don t want a call back..which I did..I added it to my blocked list on my mobile.. This was one of three unknown numbers who called me this morning.. Glasgow Area

SCAM Indian sounding lady, rang twice this week saying they were from BT openreach that there had been a security breach on my internet line trying to hack my broadband, she couldnt tell me any details, so assuming this was a scam I said its fine theres nothing on my laptop for hackers to get, she then wanted my mobile phone details to show me what was happening, I then told her I didn't bring my phone to work and she got angry and said fine if you dont want to protect your line then hung up !!
As above the caller said they were from HMRC , This is your last chance, serious consequences , ring back immediately, if not legal proceedings will commence.

SCAM: I think it must be a scam number because he said he was calling from Carphone Warehouse which has since disbanded. he jumped in with another 'even better offer' before I'd even rejected the 1st offer. Press 1 to cancel, press 2 for any other queries. Identical call to one I had from this dialling code last week.
