Claiming we had an outstanding insurance policy for drains etc which we do not, also quoted a password which has occurred on other scam calls so looks like same lot trying it on to unwary types.

This phone number is not one I know, it seems to be a sperilous bogus numer with a computer phoning numbers from bought lists.

Call alleging to be from Amazon querying £799 charge to my account which was probably fictitious- request to press 1 - did not do so and rang off. Probably a scam.

Fraud - I think. A male with I think and Asian accent called from this number. He asked for me by name and said he was calling from Microsoft then asked if I was the main user of the computer in my hone. I asked "Which Computer is that then?" and he hung up. Another number check site has lots of people checking this number and it appears to be from various different places so I think it must be an attempt to access a persons computer or something like that.

AO aggressive aftersales, using a no-doubt masked number. Female caller asked me to confirm my personal details - I refused given they had called me! It was framed to confirm my order, but was essentially a very sharp practice way to try and sell insurance. I asked if there was an issue with my order - she said 'no' very unconvincingly. I then asked if it was a service or a sales call - very reluctant to answer so hung up. I think this sort of pseudo cold calling does businesses such as AO.com reputational

SCAM!!! John from the "Medical Alert Centre" called telling me I have been flagged up as qualifying for a free medical alert pendant. He then asked, "Are you over the age of..." seemed to think for a while and then decided on 50. I am a decade younger than this so I just said, "No." which seemed to confuse him and he said, "Right." SCAM - Told them to take a number off the list as the person has a memory dissorder. Have called daily after that, telling it is the first time they call. Different numbers, but same person called back right after from this number. She called from RCN Investments and if that is true, that she called because the person wrote her number at THEIR webpage- then they have sold the number to several other companies, because the phone is calling several times a day after the day she register on a web-page.
