I just received a call from this number at my phone. When I picked up an automated voice said to call Victor asap. WTF? After searching the internet, I found this number to belong to a debt collection agency called Zinc. Not sure why they are calling me as I have no debts.

Have previously had about three missed calls from this number - just picked up the latest call and they informed me that I d had a car accident at some point since July 2010 - I have never had a car accident, thank goodness. I asked them where they got this information from - they said they purchased these details from a company and had got them as I had registered the accident but hadn t claimed anything. The usual PPI story. Have had countless calls over recent months. Even pressing 5 for next stage elicits a recorded message. Eventually line went dead.

Constantly calling every two to three days. I know it's a Manchester number in England getting fed up with the constant calling.

My elderly aunt keeps getting calls from this number but no-one is there when she answers. It is causing her distress.

The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. A couple of years ago I had all my windows replaced by Crystal windows, got several calls from them asking if I needed any further work doing on the house, I said no and please remove my number and stop calling me, i m still getting calls from them. don t give them your phone number I wish I hadn t.

Hi I worked for this company. They buy your details from either the blackmarket or datasets where you have opted in. So if you bought something somewhere online that required your number chances are you inadvertently opted in. They use a network of local numbers to seem reputable. The liverpool branch specialises in road traffic accident. They ll fish about for details asking you that they were informed a car accident was reported by your household within the last 2.5-3 years.
