I do this as we have nothing to hide. We operate strictly by the Market Research Society guidelines. Claimed to be from "Alba Services", saying that "money has been allocated" for improving energy efficiency in homes. Told me that they got the phone number from a "homeowner database" but wouldn t give any further info. It must be a crap database as this is a newsagents shop.... Chancing scammers.

Caller claimed to be able to send me a blocker to protect me from unwanted calls for fee of ?8.99 per month or an payment of ?80 for a year! I used my phone s in-built blocker by pressing the button on the keypad!

I was continuously rang by an Asian sounding male, calling himself "Sean smith" and claiming to be from the citizens advice beuro. I basically called him a liar, and asked him to take my number off of his system. He refused, and continued to call me numerous times, some withholding number, some not. Some calls I answered, but didn t talk, carried on like normal, some calls I let ring out. Do not trust whoever it is.

Automated message told me my internet provider was going to disconnect me due to illegal activity within 24 if I didn't speak to a director. Told me to select 1 to speak to them.
