I too received a call at a funeral at 1020 this morning about so-called PPI, when asked how they got a ex directory number, they were reluctant to answer their source. I informed them a complaint will be submitted for their harrassment, I have also sent a letter to the BBC Panorama. programme who are investigating companies under various names. A silent call from one of a block of numbers. As fast as one number is blocked another is used. So far 10 different numbers from the block ranging from numbers ending 763 to 776. Regularly getting 2 or 3 a day. If they are from 3 network then Ofcom need to investigate
This number was used for a scam call supposedly from BT Internet. I think it is probably an ordinary valid number, Scammers seem able to hijack numbers and this is one of several received recently from other members

I did not answer this call but on checking origin it came from Russia, Kalmytskija region. I do not know anyone in Russia and would say this was diff a potential spam or phishing scam.
I keep getting calls on my mobile from this number called it back they answered as Freedom. Now blocked. Fed up of unknown calls.
Calling 5 or 6 times per week I gives one the chance to be removed from their list but could be a scam.
You answer it and no one talks. Why phone if you are not going to speak?

I ve done some research on this number and found out that it is a call centre called RSVP, based in East London. Not only do they offer wine club memberships and MCN motorcycle subscriptions, but also services from Hillary Blinds. Called me about 5 times before I picked up. Wine club offer in my case.
